IF YOU HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY UNDERGONE A COLON HYDROTHERAPY TREATMENT WITH US, PLEASE REVIEW THIS PAGE PRIOR TO SCHEDULING ANY TREATMENT!
- Abdominal Hernia / Hiatus Hernia
- Active fissure or fistula
- All bladder diseases
- Anaemia (104g/L or lower)
- Anal tears
- Aneurysm
- Any surgical procedure or biopsy involving the colon, prostate, or rectum,
- Autonomic dysreflexia (a condition affecting the involuntary nervous system).
- Abdominal surgery performed within the last 28 weeks, e.g., hysterectomy. (The abdomen is the area between the bottom of your rib cage and the top of your pelvis)
- Blood thinners administered via injection, e.g., warfarin, clopidogrel (anticoagulants) – this list is not comprehensive.
- Blood pressure exceeding 160/100
- Blood pressure falling below 100/50
- Bowel biopsy conducted within the last 6 months
- Bowel obstruction, e.g., tumor, adhesions
- Bowel or rectal prolapse
- Bowel perforation
- Carcinoma of the colon or rectum
- Chemotherapy or radiotherapy currently being administered or received within the last 12 months)
- Cirrhosis or compromised liver function
- Colitis/Ulcerative Colitis
- Colon/rectal/bowel cancer
- Uncontrolled or unbalanced diabetes (If you have diabetes that has been stable for a period of six months or longer, you may be eligible for treatment. If your diabetes has not been stable during this timeframe, it is unsafe to proceed with treatment. Please specify in the free text box the type of diabetes you have, how you manage it, and the duration it has been stable. E.g., Type 1 diabetes, managed with an insulin pump, stable since 2021)
- Colorectal surgery performed within the last 6 months
- C-section performed less than 6 months ago
- Crohn’s disease
- Current cancer treatment or still under the care of an oncologist for cancer; examples may include radiotherapy or chemotherapy – this is not an exhaustive list.
- Diverticulitis
- Eating disorders
- Epilepsy – not well controlled with seizures or episodes occurring within the last 2 years. *Please provide details about the type of epilepsy you have, the last occurrence of a seizure or episode, and the names of any medications you are taking.
- Fistula
- Gastrointestinal hemorrhage/perforation/bleed
- Having a baby under 4 months old
- Heart disease or heart failure
- Any heart complications at any time
